Corinthian order

Pediment and upper portico of the Legislative Building, West Capitol Campus

The acanthus leave on the columns seemed to relate to the foliage in the foreground.

This is a neat shot. I like how you took it with the plants in the front of it.

All the classic architectural elements from antiquity. As if to say, "we represent the wisdom and strength of the centuries."

It's quite classic and I love it. Do you know reason why the city has same name of Olympia, Greece, where Olympic Games born?

The greenery actually adds movement to this stoic shot... Makes me think of birds flying upward in unison at the sound of a thunder clap!

Great comments, thanks! I especially like todd hellskitchen's image of birds flying upward. Fabrizio, the city of Olympia was named for the Olympic Mountains, which lie to the west. The mountains were named by an English explorer who thought they were beautiful enough for the gods to live there. Or, at least that's what Wikipedia says. ;-)
