Taken the morning of July 4th in Olympic National Park. Staircase is a very popular hiking destination on the Olympic Peninsula. The trail begins at Staircase Ranger Station, about an hour and a half drive from Olympia.

Beautiful trail! Aren't we lucky to live here! (I'm back from a week "away". I'll catch up on your posts soon.)

Thanks for your visit. I'm enjoying your photos, too. This spot is about half way between us, I think, and you are right -- it is beautiful and we are very, very lucky.
